Koono Blair Matthias , is a Ugandan Musician and award winning Actor who has featured in films in and out of Uganda. Blair has worked on projects like, the First Eleven (2022), as the lead role, Enkuba (2022) , for which he got nominated for Best Lead Actor in the Uganda Film Festival (2023).Ikon Award winner for best actor in a supporting role(2024). He also was the lead role voicing “Ndahura” in Disney Plus’ Kizazi Moto animation series that premiered in 2023. He also lead acted in the short films, “Ward 4 1998” (2024), Insanity (2024). Besides being a supporting character in movies like, Sabotage (2024), Call 112(2025), Teens in Hell (2023), Blood Ransom (2022), Chwezi Dynasty (2022), When You Become Me (2023), Blair Koono has also ventured into stage acting and theatre for the past four years and he was part of the Cast of William Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice in (2022), The Phantom of Opera (2024), Man to Man (2023), the Talk Smart Show(2024). He also was part of the My Fair lady Musical Play Cast (2023) and acted as JAMIE and DOOLITTLE, for which he was commended by the Ugandan Newspaper, New Vision for his outstanding Performance. Besides acting, Koono is both a singer and song writer in addition to being an all-round Dancer (African, cultural and Western Dance). He has acquired a diploma in acting for Screen and Radio at The Mariam Ndagire Film and Performing Arts Centre. Koono looks forward to being part of greater theatre productions and Film Projects in and out of Africa.
